Zero Waste Staff Training


The Zero Waste Training for ITU staff was given by Gamze Tepeyurt, an expert engineer from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, and Adnan Serkan Toröz from the ITU Zero Waste Unit.


The Zero Waste Training was organized as part of the June 5 Turkey Environment Week activities and to contribute to our University’s Zero Waste Certification Renewal process. The training took place on June 8, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Prof. Dr. Remzi Ülker Hall of the Disaster Management Institute on our University’s Ayazağa Campus.


The training was delivered to our staff by Gamze Tepeyurt, an expert engineer from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Environment, Urbanization, and Climate Change, and Serkan Toröz from the ITU Zero Waste Unit.


In addition to cleaning and administrative staff responsible for waste management and cleaning services in your units, all academic staff interested in the subject were invited to attend the training.
